In an ever compounding atmosphere of conflict, threat and war, I feel the barometric pressure. I know what I do not trust but not terribly certain of who my comrades are.
There are the obvious evils of oppressive right wing politics, killer cops, environmental apocalypse, oligarchy, theocracy, the brainwashed, slave labor, the ignorant, bloated materialism, entitled nihilism, the easily manipulated and bribed. Yeah, the easy ones, the enemy.
There are the not so obvious evils of total pacifism, apathy, desperation, political correctness, imploding into thought policing, ,blind delusional positivity, sub culture slogan group thinking and faith in human nature to overcome mankind's adversity. The not so easy ones, the enemy.
Its a minefield of foaming mouths and spring loaded emotions with Jester Kings laughing from the stands at all of us. One wrong word, one wrong move, regularly brings all of the worms out of the wood and I wonder if the maggots are the only thing holding the arena up.
Goddammit, I'm afraid for mankind as a concept and my survival within in it. Choosing which conflicting reality and truth to abide by for ones own safety and comfort is a daily vampiric encounter.
The world has gone mad and dumb. Maybe it always has been mad and dumb. Maybe we are near perfecting a natural drive to breed as many as possible so that we can murder, subjugate and degrade as many as possible. Humanity it seems is a numbers game. High score wins. Dead or alive, miserable or happy not important, only the amount and winning matters.
Fear is for breakfast. Hopefully you can make it through the day with your soul intact without ignoring the horror show. IF you don't see the horror show, it is easy to find. Look for it, you owe it to yourself to see it. Its amazing, nearly unbelievable, an almost admirable undertaking. Look at where your shoes were made and who made them, look down the alley when you are driving through the city, read the ingredients, look at your garbage, where is it going?, where did it come from. Watch the cop beating video, try to tell a stranger they are wrong about anything and see how they react. Ask someone with a name tag how much they earn and how they get by. Tell someone, NO. Start there. It is barely the beginning. Listen to the funky tune. Dance Dance Dance.
lyrics
Fear of man and fear and fear of death
Bringing up the rear with the fear of the species
Fear of failure and fear of success
Bringing up the rear with the fear of decision
Well I'm afraid to stay in motion, afraid to remain at rest
Bringing up the rear with the fear that it will always be this way
Fear of the worst that the best has to offer yet
Bringing up the rear with the fear of superiors
Fear of the flag and our country tis' of thee
Bringing up the rear with the fear of the nation
Fear of all they hear and fear of all they see
Bringing up the rear with the fear of surveillance
Fear of true believers and what they believe me to be
Bring up the rear with the fear of reprimands
I'm afraid of my natural ways and If i keep them secret will it keep me safe
I'm afraid of the national state and if i keep their secrets will they keep me safe.
Fear of the hateful and their easy loyalties
Bringing up the rear with the fear of the stupid
Fear of the peaceful on their surrendering knees
Bringing up the rear with the fear of pacifists
Fear of the needful and their survival instincts
Bringing up the rear with the fear of the poor.
Fear of the greedful as they drink us to the brink
Bringing up the rear with the fear of the rich
Fear of the creedful and the slogans they think that they think
Bringing up the rear with the fear of the faithful
I'm afraid of my natural ways and If i keep them secret will it keep me safe
I'm afraid of the national state and if i keep their secrets will they keep me safe.
I'm afraid of my natural ways and If i keep them secret will it keep me safe
I'm afraid of the national state and if i keep their secrets will they keep me safe.
I'm afraid of my natural ways and If i keep them secret will it keep me safe
I'm afraid of the national state and if i keep their secrets will they keep me safe.
